About the role
- Serve as the day-to-day client lead for assigned healthcare and pharmaceutical accounts.
- Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with clients and understand their business, marketing, and communication objectives.
- Lead client meetings, planning sessions, status calls, and presentations.
- Proactively communicate project status, timelines, deliverables, challenges, and recommendations.
- Translate client needs into clear project scopes and actionable direction for internal teams.
- Anticipate client needs and identify opportunities to strengthen and expand existing relationships. Strategic Planning & Campaign Management
- Contribute to and lead strategic marketing initiatives across digital, social, patient engagement, provider communications, and awareness campaigns.
- Develop integrated marketing strategies and ensure successful execution from planning through launch.
- Provide strategic recommendations based on campaign performance, market insights, and client objectives.
- Define project scope, deliverables, timelines, and priorities while ensuring alignment between clients and internal teams.
- Lead multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail. Cross-Functional Leadership
- Coordinate creative, digital, social, strategy, project management, and other internal teams to deliver client work.
- Lead teams through project planning and execution, providing clear direction and maintaining accountability.
- Facilitate collaboration between internal stakeholders and clients to keep projects moving forward.
- Review deliverables for accuracy, quality, strategic alignment, and adherence to client requirements.
- Proactively identify issues and develop solutions to keep projects on track. Healthcare/Pharmaceutical Compliance
- Ensure marketing materials and campaigns follow applicable healthcare and pharmaceutical regulations and client requirements.
- Coordinate with legal, medical, regulatory, and compliance stakeholders throughout the review and approval process.
- Manage and navigate established review processes while maintaining project timelines.
- Support the planning and execution of healthcare-related advisory boards and other client initiatives. Financial & Business Management
- Manage account budgets, billing, forecasting, and financial tracking.
- Monitor project scope and resource requirements to help ensure work remains on budget.
- Identify opportunities to expand client relationships through additional services and solutions.
- Balance client needs, business objectives, project requirements, and available resources. Digital & Social Marketing
- Oversee paid and organic social media initiatives and other digital marketing programs.
- Partner with digital and social teams to ensure campaigns are strategically aligned and effectively executed.
- Review campaign analytics and translate performance data into actionable client recommendations.
- Stay current on healthcare marketing trends, digital platforms, and emerging technologies.
- 5+ years of account management/client services experience, with at least 3 years supporting pharmaceutical or healthcare clients.
- Experience working in an agency, healthcare marketing, or pharmaceutical.
- Strong experience with digital and social marketing campaigns.
- Experience managing client relationships and serving as a primary day-to-day client contact.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience managing budgets, billing, forecasting, and project financials.
- Experience with healthcare/pharmaceutical regulatory and review processes.
- Experience supporting or coordinating advisory boards or similar healthcare initiatives is preferred.
- Rare disease experience is a plus but not required.
- Familiarity with tools such as Microsoft Teams, Veeva, Basecamp, or similar project/collaboration platforms is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
