With 15M+ monthly users, 130B+ annual messages, and a team of fewer than 200, we move fast, stay lean, and tackle technical problems at a scale few companies ever see.Grindr's Brand Design Studio, the in-house team responsible for how Grindr shows up outside the app, is looking for a Senior Brand Designer. This role sits at the intersection of brand, product and communication design. As Grindr expands, the visual language has grown with it. This role requires a conceptual thinker who can bring ideas to life in new and inspiring ways. In this role, you'll translate briefs into creative, adopt and build upon our design systems, templates, and guidelines that help Grindr's teams move fast while keeping the brand consistent, expressive, and culturally relevant at global scale.In this role, you must be able to defend why certain design choices are right, not just how it looks.At Grindr, we operate in Grindr Mode. Smart, driven people who raise your bar, with room to live full lives.This is a hybrid role based in our Los Angeles office and will require you to be in person Tuesdays and Thursdays.About the Job: Develop on-brand solutions for creative across campaigns, product launches, social, events, and cultural moments — from concept through final productionServe as a creative partner to cross-functional teams across the company, translating briefs from Marketing, Growth, Product, Comms, Partnerships, and Grindr for Equality into clear, compelling creativeHelp evolve and extend Grindr's visual identity — contributing to brand system decisions, setting creative direction, and holding the quality bar across every touchpoint the Design Studio supportsMaintain the infrastructure that lets a lean studio punch above its weight: reusable templates, toolkits, component libraries, and guidelines that let partner teams move without diluting the brandDesign and produce presentation materials for high-stakes audiencesSwitch between projects quicklyUses design thinking and best practices across workSupport and grow talent of junior designersRole Requirements:6-10 years of design experience, ideally across both agency and in-house environmentsA design portfolio that shows both strategic conceptual thinking and exceptional craft — evidence you can define a creative direction and execute it at a high level across multiple touchpointsExperience building brand systems, not just working within oneProficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop required; Video Editing is a strong plus)Track record of supporting multiple stakeholder teams at once — you can prioritize competing requests, push back with a rationale, and keep quality high across a wide surface areaStrong presentation and communication skills: you can present creative to senior stakeholders, explain your reasoning, respond thoughtfully to feedback, and advocate for the strong version of the ideaYou can take work from concept to final filesYou May Thrive in this Role if You: Are well-versed in AI Image GenerationFile organization is your best friendLove creating options and conceptsCare about producing quality award-winning creativeBenefits and Perks: Health, Dental & Vision Full premium coverage for you.
