Senior Environmental Project Manager - Environmental Consulting
About the Role: We are seeking a Senior Environmental Project Manager to lead a multidisciplinary environmental and hazardous materials division delivering complex consulting services across site assessment, remediation, and regulatory compliance. This role provides strategic, technical, and operational leadership for a diverse portfolio of high-impact environmental projects. The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with deep technical expertise, strong client-facing skills, and a proven ability to mentor teams while driving quality, compliance, and financial performance.
Key Responsibilities: Lead complex environmental projects from initiation through completion, including Phase I & II ESAs, vapor intrusion, brownfield programs, UST compliance, remediation design, and oversight. Serve as the primary client contact and manage long-term client relationships. Develop and manage project scopes, schedules, budgets, and deliverables. Direct, mentor, and allocate resources across multidisciplinary project teams. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations. Act as QA/QC lead, performing final technical review of reports and proposals. Monitor project financials and implement corrective actions as needed. Support business development through proposal preparation and client presentations. Interface with regulatory agencies and support staff recruitment and development.
Qualifications: 15+ years of experience in environmental consulting. Degree in environmental science, engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).Professional licensure or certification preferred (PE, PG, PMP, CHMM).Strong knowledge of CERCLA, RCRA, Brownfields, and applicable state and local programs. Extensive experience with environmental site assessments, remediation, and regulatory reporting. Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
