About the role
Weatherization Intake & Support Specialist Community Action's Weatherization program is seeking candidates for Weatherization Intake & Support Specialist. This position will be responsible for all initial and ongoing client contact, file content and written and verbal communication with clients. Support department staff, maintain organization and assist with many areas of the weatherization program.
Starting Wage: 19.02/hour
The Role:
Conduct pre-screening and intake process, review and calculate application eligibility, and manage client communications including acceptance/denial letters.
Enter and maintain accurate information in tracking and billing systems, including client data, property history, and utility usage.
Schedule inspections, assist with audits, communicate with clients and property owners, and support staff with equipment, supplies, and program logistics.
Ensure all client files are complete and accurate, close outdated files, and maintain proper documentation including contractor records.
Assist with program promotion and recruiting efforts for both clients and contractors.
Attend meetings and trainings, collaborate across departments, and follow all agency policies, including confidentiality and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Three to five years' experience with and knowledge of the building trade preferred.
Valid Nebraska Driver's License and good driving record required.
Must be able to read, write, and communicate English effectively.
Must have skill in the use of office equipment including computer, printer, and telephone system.
Must be able work independently to achieve multiple set objectives concurrently and work effectively under pressure.
Must be able to comply with agency and program policies, including all confidentiality and safety policies.
