Senior Android Developer, New York

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING: Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform utilized in financial services Work with team leadership, Product Owners, Designers, and other technologists to create software to be deployed in enterprise and public app stores based on business and technical priorities Actively contribute to the adoption of robust software architecture, development and engineering best practices, and the adoption of new technologies Break down complex problems into elegant technical solutions to intelligently solve problems for Lab 49's clients Utilize industry best practices to ensure code quality and robustness including edge cases, usability and general reliability Advocate test-driven development and deliver high quality, resilient solutions Resolve defects and enhance application performance by analyzing and optimizing code This is an onsite role - 5 days/ week in the WTC are in NYC WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE8+years of experience designing and building complex, commercial-grade software systems Proficiency in Kotlin and experience with native Android development tools such as Jetpack Compose Experience in consumer banking including account management and onboarding. Familiarity with integrating RESTful APIs and third-party libraries Experience with agile development methodologies Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for mobile applications Understanding of mobile UI/UX principles and best practices to create intuitive and engaging user experiences Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
