Production Supervisor Night Shift Dallas, TX Full-Time Onsite 7:00 PM 7:00 AM $65,000 $90,000 Annually W-2 About the Opportunity Our client is seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead night shift operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for driving safety, quality, productivity, and employee engagement while supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the facility. The ideal candidate is a strong people leader with manufacturing experience who can motivate teams, solve problems, and ensure production goals are achieved consistently and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead, coach, and develop production team members during assigned shifts.
  • Foster a culture focused on safety, quality, accountability, and teamwork.
  • Monitor daily production performance to meet operational goals.
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, overtime, and workforce planning.
  • Support employee training and cross-training initiatives.
  • Investigate operational challenges and implement corrective actions.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and drive process improvements.
  • Partner with Quality, Safety, Maintenance, and HR teams to resolve issues and improve performance.
  • Track production metrics and identify opportunities for increased efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and quality requirements.
Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication and team leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a production setting.
  • Problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail.
  • Flexible schedule and willingness to support operational needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in plastics manufacturing, extrusion, molding, film, foam, or related production processes.
  • Experience in continuous-process manufacturing environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations, Business, or a related field.
  • Background in Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, GMP, WCM, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
What Success Looks Like: First 90 Days
  • Learn facility operations, products, and manufacturing processes.
  • Build strong relationships with team members and cross-functional departments.
  • Successfully manage shift operations with minimal supervision.
  • Develop an understanding of key production metrics and reporting requirements. Within 6 Months
  • Take ownership of shift performance and daily production execution.
  • Lead employee training and development initiatives.
  • Drive safety, quality, and productivity improvements.
  • Participate in process improvement projects. Within 12 Months
  • Lead a high-performing, engaged production team.
  • Implement measurable improvements in productivity and operational efficiency.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the shift.
  • Support long-term business and operational goals.
