Entry-Level Sheet Metal Team MemberMid-South Roof Systems is a leading commercial roofing contractor providing high-quality roofing and sheet metal solutions to businesses and organizations nationwide. As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an Entry-Level Sheet Metal Team Member to join our skilled and dynamic crew. As a Sheet Metal Team Member, youll assist with the fabrication, assembly, and installation of sheet metal components that protect and enhance our commercial roofing systems. This entry-level role offers hands-on training, career growth opportunities, and the chance to work with experienced professionals in a supportive, team-focused environment.
Responsibilities include:
Assisting with installing and maintaining sheet metal roofing components according to project specifications and safety guidelines.
Learning to handle, cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal under the guidance of experienced team members.
Supporting the installation of flashing, gutters, downspouts, coping, and other metal elements.
Participating in on-site measurements and layout to ensure precision.
Keeping tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized.
Following safety protocols and wearing required PPE at all times.
Working collaboratively to complete projects on schedule and to high-quality standards.
Helping identify and address issues with sheet metal installations.
Attending training to build skills and knowledge of sheet metal techniques.
Qualifications include:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow directions from experienced team members.
Basic understanding of construction principles and techniques preferred (training provided).Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions.
Physical stamina and dexterity to bend, lift, and carry heavy objects.
Excellent communication skills and professionalism when working with coworkers and clients.
Additional requirements include:
Ability to travel anywhere in the United States without restriction.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Willing to work weekends and extended hours based on production needs.
