We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Weekend Activities Assistant to join our dedicated team in Roswell, NM.As a Weekend Activities Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by planning and executing engaging activities on weekends. Your creativity, enthusiasm, and organizational skills will bring joy and excitement to our residents' lives.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement recreational activities, events, and outings for residents on weekends
- Collaborate with the activities team to ensure a smooth transition between weekdays and weekends
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive calendar of weekend activities
- Engage with residents to understand their interests and preferences, and tailor activities accordingly
- Assist with setup, supervision, and cleanup of activities
- Maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere in the activities department
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to ensure a seamless experience
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or experience in a related field preferred 0-1 year of experience in a healthcare or senior living setting
- Ability to work weekends and flexible hours as needed
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and push/pull carts
