Responsibilities:
Interpret blueprints and schematics to determine layout and installation of piping systems. Assemble, fabricate, install, and maintain piping and piping systems, fixtures, and equipment for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, and industrial production and processing systems. Measure and mark pipes for cutting, threading, and welding. Use hand and power tools to cut, thread, and bend pipes to required angles. Install supports, hangers, and hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. Inspect work sites for obstructions and ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes. Conduct pressure tests to ensure the integrity and safety of piping systems. Perform routine and preventative maintenance on piping systems and related components. Troubleshoot and repair faulty or damaged piping systems and components. Collaborate with other trades and contractors to complete projects efficiently. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. Adhere to company policies and OSHA safety standards at all times
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED.Completion of a certified apprenticeship program in pipefitting. Proficiency in using pipefitting tools and equipment. Ability to install, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair piping systems. Familiarity with safety regulations and protocols. Ability to work in confined spaces and at various heights. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. Good physical stamina and strength. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Valid driver's license and reliable in OSHA safety standards is a plus. PM22
