Location:
Raleigh, NC or Atlanta, GAI am currently working for one of the top General Contractors seeking a senior Project Executive to lead and grow its Life Sciences portfolio. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for an experienced construction executive with a strong background in pharmaceutical manufacturing, biotech, life sciences, cleanrooms, cGMP environments and complex technical facilities.
The Opportunity:
The Project Executive will provide executive leadership across project acquisition, client relationships, contract negotiations, pre-construction, operations, financial performance and team development. You will have significant autonomy and will be responsible for building high-performing project teams while developing relationships with pharmaceutical, biotechnology, laboratory and research clients. Key areas of responsibility include:
- Executive leadership of large-scale Life Sciences projects and teams
- Business development, project acquisition and executive-level client relationships
- Contract negotiations and commercial strategy
- Full P&L, forecasting and financial accountability
- Pre-construction, procurement and project start-up
- MEP/HVAC, commissioning and validated-environment strategy
- cGMP, cleanroom and quality compliance
- Development and recruitment of high-performing project teams
- Lean construction, Last Planner and prefabrication strategies
- Long-term client development across the Life Sciences sector
What We're Looking For:
- 15+ years of construction experience
- 10+ years in senior construction/project leadership
- Proven experience delivering $100M+ Life Sciences, pharmaceutical, biotech, laboratory or advanced manufacturing projects
- Strong understanding of cGMP, cleanroom environments and CQV/validation processes
- Experience with complex MEP and technically intensive facilities
- Strong commercial and contract negotiation experience
- Demonstrated P&L and financial management responsibility
- Experience working directly with owners, pharmaceutical clients and other senior stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline
