About the Opportunity:
  • Propak Energy Services is seeking an Elite CAT 3600 / Waukesha Mechanic to join our field service team supporting natural gas compression and power-generation equipment.
  • This is a senior, hands-on field position, not an entry-level or general diesel mechanic role. We are looking for the technician other mechanics turn to when a complex overhaul, startup, commissioning project, or difficult equipment failure requires advanced technical knowledge.
  • The ideal candidate brings extensive hands-on experience with Caterpillar 3600 gas engines, including major overhauls, troubleshooting, startups, and commissioning. Candidates with strong Waukesha VHP/VGF expertise and formal OEM training may also be considered.
  • You do not need to be an expert on both CAT and Waukesha platforms, but you must demonstrate advanced competency in at least one. Compensation & Relocation$47.00–$60.00/hour, depending on verified experience, certifications, and technical capability
  • Overtime opportunities based on project and customer requirements
  • Williston employees receive an additional 15% housing allowance calculated on the first 40 hours worked each week
  • Nationwide relocation assistance available for qualified candidates
  • Relocation assistance for an exceptional CAT 3600 commissioning mechanic may reach approximately $15,000+, depending on qualifications, location, and moving distance
  • Relocation packages may require an approximately two-year employment commitment
  • Permanent relocation to Williston or Casper is preferred over routine fly-in/fly-out arrangements.
