Job Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by ensuring the nursing care plan is followed. This role involves supervising Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees while embodying the core values and commitment to patient safety and quality care.
Responsibilities: Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission, forming the basis for tailored care plans. Identify teaching needs and goals related to each patient's diagnosis, collaborating with the patient/family and interdisciplinary team. Provide accurate and timely documentation of all assessments and interventions in the medical record. Participate in the patient rehabilitation program promoting high-quality outcomes through effective care delivery. Initiate discharge planning and patient education from the day of admission. Communicate important changes in patient status to relevant care providers to ensure continuity and safety. Supervise and train ancillary nursing personnel, delegating responsibilities appropriately. Ensuring personal and environmental safety following hospital policies and procedures. Support a positive unit environment by fostering teamwork and addressing service needs proactively. Identify opportunities for professional growth and actively pursue continuing education. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure BLS Certification required prior to the first shift. ACLS required prior to the first shift (specific to certain units). Minimum of two years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired.
