Role Description: This is a full-time, on-site Vascular Ultrasound Technologist (RVT or RVS) role located in Franklin, TN. The technologist will perform non-invasive vascular ultrasound examinations, including arterial and venous studies, carotid duplex, and other vascular imaging procedures as ordered by providers. Daily responsibilities include preparing and positioning patients, operating ultrasound equipment, optimizing image quality, and documenting findings accurately in the electronic medical record. The role involves collaborating with vascular physicians and clinical staff to review results, support diagnosis, and assist in patient care planning. The technologist will also maintain equipment and exam rooms, follow safety and infection control protocols, and adhere to applicable regulatory and accreditation standards.
Qualifications: Certification and credentials: Possess relevant credentials such as Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS), and familiarity with American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) standards. Radiology and imaging expertise: Demonstrated skills in vascular ultrasound imaging, with knowledge of Radiology principles and experience performing comprehensive vascular studies. Professional registries and compliance: Understanding of requirements and best practices associated with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent professional standards, where applicable. Clinical knowledge: Solid foundation in Medicine related to vascular anatomy, physiology, and pathology to support accurate image acquisition and preliminary technical impressions.
Additional qualifications: Completion of an accredited diagnostic medical sonography or vascular technology program; current BLS/CPR certification; strong attention to detail; effective communication skills; ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment; and commitment to patient safety and confidentiality.
