LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a growing South Florida organization to hire a Fleet Manager responsible for a fleet of nearly 100 trucks, distributed equipment, shop operations, and a team of mechanics. This is a player-coach leadership role for someone who can manage the operation but still knows how to diagnose problems, guide complex repairs, and speak the language of experienced mechanics.š§ What Youāll Own Lead fleet maintenance, repair, and shop operations Manage and develop a team of 4ā5 mechanics Oversee preventive maintenance for trucks and equipment Ensure DOT compliance, inspections, vehicle records, titles, registrations, and documentation Manage parts inventory, vendors, tools, budgets, and purchasing Recommend equipment replacement and capital purchases Drive shop safety, productivity, and equipment trainingšÆ
What Weāre Looking For:
Strong mechanic background with gas and diesel engine experience Approximately 5+ years of relevant fleet/mechanical experience preferred Prior leadership or team-lead experience Spanish proficiency required Hands-on knowledge of fleet maintenance and equipment repairASE and/or diesel certifications strongly preferred Experience with commercial trucks, heavy equipment, landscaping equipment, or similar fleets is highly relevantā The Candidate Who Will Stand Out You're not simply a fleet administrator.
