Salary Range: $32.2 - 51.36 Hourly Employment Type 2 - Staff: Career Duration Indefinite Job # 32062 Primary Duties and Responsibilities This position will serve as the academic administrative support for faculty, fellows and research teams. Receives and screens all telephone calls, responding independently when possible, referring calls to other resources when appropriate. Reviews and screens incoming correspondence, preparing responses independently when possible. Manages faculty calendars with complete authority for determining scheduling priorities. Schedule meetings, as needed. Responsible for special projects and other activities, as requested. Hourly salary range: 32.20 - 51.36
Job Qualifications
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience 5 years minimum of Business operations and/or administration experience
  • Ability to use high-level discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Analytical skills sufficient to interpret and apply University and campus policies; define problems; formulate logical conclusions, recognize alternatives
  • Strong written skills to prepare accurate, concise, and clear reports and documents
  • Communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to work effectively with University-wide and campus-wide Administrators, Deans, Department Chair, faculty and staff both orally and written
Preferred: Knowledge of academic and/or administrative structure of institutions of higher education
