We are actively seeking experienced techs for upcoming construction projects and immediate drop bury work across the Iowa market. As a vital part of our service network, you will be responsible for burying underground cables for residential and commercial properties. Experienced techs with proper equipment and a focus on production and quality are encouraged to reach out.
Position type: 1099 Contract. WORK AREAS (main city in each area)- Northwest Iowa - Primghar- West Iowa - Schleswig- Northeast Iowa - New Hampton- Central Iowa - Knoxville- Southwest Iowa - Creston- South Iowa - Centerville- Southeast Iowa - Ottumwa and Mount Pleasant
Compensation & Benefits: Weekly direct deposit (with a 3-week hold).Pay range depends on experience and job volume. Performance-based incentives and opportunities for advancement. Referral bonuses for bringing qualified technicians Please, note: This position requires a background check and a drug test. This position requires work authorization and a valid DL.
Requirements: Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in drop bury / underground cable installation. Proven experience performing residential drop bury installations independently. Strong knowledge of underground cable installation methods, burial depths, routing, and restoration standards. Must have your own professional tool setand mobile phone as outlined in the company's required equipment checklist. (vibratory plow, SPX 25 or similar)Must have your own minivan or pickup truck suitable for transporting tools and equipment. Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills. Dependable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented. Commitment to following safety protocols and company standards. Key Responsibilities: Perform drop bury installations for residential fiber and telecom services. Install underground fiber and/or coaxial cable from the utility point to residential properties. Operate vibratory plows, trenchers, and other underground installation equipment. Locate and safely work around existing underground utilities before and during excavation. Dig, trench, bore, or plow cable according to required burial depths and company standards. Pull, place, and properly secure fiber/coaxial cable underground. Inspect completed installations and verify cable placement, depth, and overall quality. Troubleshoot installation issues and correct problems in the field. Complete required documentation, photos, measurements, and job reports through company systems. Maintain a safe, organized, and professional work environment.
