About the role

Job Title Transports patients throughout the hospital for diagnostic, therapeutic, and procedural services, and assists with patient care duties as delegated by a registered nurse. Safely transports patients and other necessary items between patient rooms and ancillary departments. Provides timely delivery of miscellaneous items while maintaining a high standard of customer service to ensure efficient workflow and continuity of care throughout the hospital.
Job Responsibilities: Transports patients throughout the hospital, assists with in-coming helicopter transports, and transports deceased patients to the morgue. Responds to code blue (cardiac or respiratory arrests) situations and initiates chest compressions. Responds to patient falls and other emergent situations. Complete assigned tasks within department expectations. Performs Other Responsibilities as Assigned.
