About the role

We are a large national privately held automobile dealership group and have an excellent opportunity available! We have an immediate opportunity for a regional auto dealership controller to join our team in Kentucky. Join our expanding nationally renowned team! The ideal candidate will be professional, bright, self-motivated, detail-oriented, organized, and hard-working individual, with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment, & 10 + years of prior controller experience in dealership accounting. The ideal candidate will reside in Kentucky and cover a set of our KY stores.
Primary responsibilities: Assist & support multiple new car dealership controllers Visit each assigned new car dealership in the region & perform internal auditing Promote best practices & implement internal controls in each store Review for compliance with governmental regulations and company policies Train and mentor new controllers & their staff Fill in for a controller on occasion if a controller is absent/vacation/ on medical leave….Support dealers and executives by performing special projects in accounting Assist with acquisitions Work closely with the executive management team & corporate accounting team Assist Controllers with year-end requirements for F/S reviews by our CPA’sAble to travel to our stores as needed.
Required Experience: 10+ years as a Dealership Controller (multiple store controllers a plus)Knowledge of the following DMS’s a plus: Reynolds & Reynolds, CDK and Dealer Track Strong technical skills in accounting Ability to lead, build and train strong dealership accounting teams Experience in hiring and mentoring dealership staff effectively Ability to multitask in a fast-paced team environment Professional with a strong work ethic Well organized Must have excel experience Outstanding communication skills written and oral. Required Education Candidate is required to have strong foundation in auto dealership accounting
