SUMMARY: We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join a precision manufacturing team supporting Aerospace and Department of Defense programs. This position is responsible for developing accurate, efficient, production-ready CNC programs and working closely with machinists and engineers to resolve production and machining challenges. The ideal candidate will have strong GibbsCAM programming experience and a solid understanding of CNC machining processes, tooling, GD&T, and tight-tolerance manufacturing.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop CNC programs for 3-, 4-, and/or 5-axis machining operations. Read and interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T requirements. Review 3D models and engineering drawings for manufacturability and potential machining issues. Troubleshoot CNC programming, tooling, and machining problems. Work closely with CNC machinists and engineers to resolve production issues. Determine appropriate speeds, feeds, cutting tools, work-holding, and machining strategies. Maintain accurate and organized CNC programs and manufacturing files. Support the production of complex, tight-tolerance precision components. QUALIFICATIONS3+ years of GibbsCAM programming experience required.3+ years of manufacturing experience. CNC programming experience within a precision manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of CNC machining processes and tooling. Ability to work from 3D CAD models, STEP files, and engineering drawings. Strong understanding of GD&T and tight machining tolerances. Experience with speeds, feeds, cutting tools, work-holding, and machining strategies. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with Engineering and Production. Aerospace or defense manufacturing experience preferred. Experience programming 3-, 4-, or 5-axis CNC equipment preferred. SolidWorks experience or experience working directly from SolidWorks models preferred. Experience machining aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, or other aerospace materials preferred. Experience with complex, tight-tolerance CNC components preferred.
