About the role
Senior Family Law Paralegal / Case Manager Wheaton / St. Charles, Illinois | In-Office Position Peskind Law Firm is seeking an experienced Senior Family Law Paralegal / Case Manager to join our team in a key case-management and trial-support role. We are looking for someone with significant experience managing active litigation matters, preparing complex cases for trial, and working closely with attorneys to ensure that deadlines, documents, discovery, exhibits, and case details are organized and under control. The right person is highly organized, proactive, calm under pressure, and comfortable taking ownership. You should be someone who can look at a case, understand what needs to happen next, and help move it forward without waiting to be directed at every step.
What You’ll Do:
Manage and help coordinate active family law matters from intake through resolution Work closely with attorneys on complex and high-conflict cases Coordinate deadlines, court dates, discovery, depositions, hearings, and trial preparation Maintain organized, complete, and current case files Support in preparing cases for trial, including exhibits, witness materials, pleadings, discovery, financial records, and supporting documentation Review files proactively to identify outstanding items, upcoming deadlines, and next steps Assist attorneys with discovery management and organization of large volumes of financial and case-related documents Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, experts, and other parties Help ensure attorneys are fully prepared for hearings, depositions, and trials Coordinate across attorneys, paralegals, and administrative team members when matters require support from multiple people Bring structure and consistency to case-management and trial-preparation processes
What We’re Looking For:
Significant paralegal or legal case-management experience Strong preference for substantial Illinois family law experience Deep experience supporting litigation and preparing cases for trial Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex matters simultaneously Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Strong understanding of deadlines, court filings, discovery, and litigation workflow Ability to anticipate what an attorney or case will need rather than waiting for instructions Professional judgment and discretion when working with sensitive client matters Reliable follow-through and a high level of personal accountability About Peskind Law Firm Peskind Law Firm is a leading Illinois family law firm with offices in St. Charles and Wheaton.
