As a Senior Traffic Engineer, you will lead a traffic team through a variety of traffic forecasting, analysis and design needs for a variety of transportation projects.Core Responsibilities For The RoleLead a traffic team through various traffic forecasting, analysis, and design projectsConduct operational traffic analysis using tools like Synchro/SimTraffic, VISTRO, and VISSIM, analyzing intersections, roundabouts, urban arterials, and freeway segmentsPerform complex traffic engineering tasks and exercise sound engineering judgmentPrepare comprehensive traffic impact analysis reportsMake decisions on design and engineering proceduresFunction as a technical specialist on mid to large scale projectsManage multiple traffic tasks and projects within scope, schedule, and budgetPrepare clear and accurate technical reports, construction plans, specifications, and estimates from start to finishCollaborate effectively with team members, operations managers, technical directors, and marketing managersQualifications, Skills, And Competencies:Bachelor's degree in Civil EngineeringProfessional Engineering (PE) licensure15+ years traffic analysis and traffic engineering designHands-on experience with Synchro/SimTraffic, VISTRO, and/or VISSIMExcellent communication, written and organizational skillsAbility to multitask while working on many projects at onceWork cooperatively with other team members, operations managers, technical directors and marketing managersWhy Would A Candidate Want This Job?At Horrocks, you can expect a competitive base salary and award-winning benefits.
