The position requires the ability to build strong working relationships and communicate effectively with plant personnel and management to effectively identify and execute the activities. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are also required. Standard work hours Monday – Friday 8am to 5pm with occasional overtime and weekends required. Travel 20% throughout the year.Duties And ResponsibilitiesApply engineering knowledge to the manufacturing processes to identify improvementPerform root cause analysis to reduce processUtilize statistical analysis and software tools to evaluate manufacturingPrepare written justifications for approved capital expenditures (ACEs).Play a key role in advancing CCM’s lean journey across theFacilitate events and meetings focused on manufacturing improvements and costTrack and report projectCoordinate and manage numerous teams and projects to execute and sustain improvementIdentify and prioritize potential manufacturing improvement projects in responsibleAttend and facilitate Kaizen and other continuous improvement events throughout theWork with the COS team to further drive the overall COS journey to establish a culture of continuous improvement throughout CCM.Research and prepare written justifications for capitalRequired Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesOperational understanding of manufacturing, business software systems, business systems functions and how they inter-relate, and customer expectations.Proficient understanding of fundamental Lean tools including, but not limited to, Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Mistake Proofing, TPM, MDI, Root Cause Analysis, etc.Strong understanding of Six Sigma tools and approach including, but not limited to, DMAIC, Measurement System Analysis, Statistical Process Control (SPC), Process Capability, Experimental Design (DOE), etc.Effective project and time management techniquesWorking knowledge of various software systems including Microsoft Office, SAP, Minitab, Wonderware, etc.Strong verbal and written communication skills, presentation skills, problem solving and analytical skills, conflict resolution, listening skills, coaching and facilitating skills.Ability to identify, scope, and execute numerous improvement projectsCapacity to communicate complex theories in simple terms to all levels of theEffectively able to articulate technical details in written
