OHJob Overview: We are seeking an experienced Assembler III to join our manufacturing team. This is a skilled, hands-on position for someone with strong mechanical abilities and experience in fabrication, piping, mechanical assembly, welding, and/or electrical wiring. The Assembler III will work independently on manufacturing assignments and may also serve as a trainer or project leader, assisting less experienced team members. This position may also participate in jobsite installations and repairs as part of a field team.
Responsibilities: Independently complete fabrication, piping, mechanical assembly, and electrical assignments Read and work from mechanical prints, electrical prints, piping prints, drawings, sketches, and layouts Master the safe and effective use of hand and power tools Perform required process and tack welding Layout and mount electrical conduit, and pull and terminate wire Layout, cut, thread, and install piping systems Set and align motors, pumps, and other mechanical components Layout, set, level, and align furnace drive systems Use overhead cranes and forklifts to move and position equipment Assist with loading and unloading equipment Perform jobsite installations and repairs as part of a field team Serve as a team or project leader when assigned Train and assist less experienced assemblers in specific skills and processes Follow supplier instructions, manufacturing specifications, and safety procedures Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent typically required Additional education or technical training related to manufacturing is preferred Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on manufacturing experience Ability to work independently and take initiative in completing assigned projects Ability to read and understand: Mechanical drawings and prints Electrical prints and layouts Two-line and isometric piping prints Supplier instructions and specifications Experience with fabrication and mechanical assembly processes Basic electrical skills, including conduit installation and wire termination Experience with piping layout, cutting, threading, and installation Welding and tack welding experience Ability to operate overhead cranes and forklifts Ability to train and provide direction to other team members Willingness and ability to perform field installations and repairs as needed Ability to stand, bend, stretch, lift, and reach for extended periods
