Metric is partnered with a growing packaging automation and systems integration company. Their solutions include end-of-line automation, robotics, material handling, and complete packaging systems for food, beverage, CPG, and industrial customers.
About the Role:
This Midwestern Sales Manager role is ideal for experienced professionals with a strong capital equipment and packaging machinery sales background. This position focuses on developing new business across the Midwest through territory management, strategic account development, and consultative selling. You’ll manage the sales process independently while working with customers and technical teams to deliver tailored automation solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute sales strategies to drive territory growth and new business. Prospect, qualify, and close complex capital equipment opportunities through consultative selling. Build relationships with new and existing customers across the assigned territory. Manage opportunities from initial discovery through project development and installation. Work closely with engineering and equipment partners to develop complete packaging solutions.
Qualifications:
Proven sales experience selling capital equipment, packaging machinery, or industrial automation solutions. Strong background in packaging automation, end-of-line equipment, robotics, palletizing, conveyors, or material handling. Demonstrated success independently managing a territory and developing new customer relationships. Experience managing a multi-million dollar territory with capital equipment sales is highly preferred. Strong technical and commercial aptitude with the ability to understand customer needs. Comfortable using CRM systems and managing a sales pipeline independently. Willingness to travel approximately 30–50% throughout the Midwest. Uncapped commissions and lucrative total earning potential.
