About the company: Our client is a growing Long Island healthcare supply company company. Its roots are in healthcare, serving hospitals and nursing homes. Most new business now comes from food and beverage, aerospace and municipal customers. The company has grown quickly and has a clear ambition to become an industry leader.
The role: This is a senior, hands-on sales role at a company changing how it sells. Sales is moving from individual territories to a team model. You'll own each relationship from first meeting through onboarding. You'll also work with leadership to put real structure around the sales process and set the standard for how sales works across the business. The company will teach you its products and operations. You bring the sales discipline.
Position Overview: Build relationships with business leaders at prospective customers and create a steady pipeline of new opportunities Run site visits to assess customers' needs Prepare proposals and present them to decision makers Negotiate pricing and contract terms, and take deals through to close alongside the senior sales team Make sure new customers are onboarded properly once they sign Work with leadership to build and run a structured sales process, including clear pipeline stages and measurement Plan key accounts and help decide which regions to prioritize Set the tone for sales across the business Requirements 5+ years of proven sales or business development experience, with a record of winning new business Bachelor's degree Comfortable meeting business leaders on their own sites, presenting, and handling commercial conversations about numbers Strong presentation and communication skills, in writing and in person Sells on value and service, not just price Self-directed and organized, able to run your own week across the office, customer sites and travel Confident with Power Point, Excel and the wider Microsoft Office suite Experience in healthcare, food and beverage, aerospace or a related B2B sector is welcome but not required
