Position Summary: The Assembly Operators are responsible for performing a variety of assembly lines and presses that support the manufacturing of industrial chain products for Diamond-Drives. This includes operating machinery, assembling products or components on a production line, inspecting quality, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Essential Job Responsibilities: Follow detailed instructions of assignment including but not limited to; work instruction, blueprints, route cards, and verbal/written instructions. Interpret and follow multiple chain assembly instructions to ensure accurate and efficient production of various chain models. Responsible for assembling chain components and products according to specifications, using both manual and automatic methods. Operate production equipment such as presses, grinders, assembly machines, and dip tanks. Ensure quality standards are met using gauges, measuring tools, and visual inspection. Demonstrate a strong attention to detail in all tasks. Maintain adequate housekeeping, ensuring clean and organized work area. Must practice all safety procedures and complete necessary trainings related to job duty. Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and support staff. Perform all other relative duties as required or as directed.
Core Responsibilities: Operate slide die machine to form and assemble chain components according to production specifications. Perform repetitive tasks such as loading parts, inserting pins, and operating press machines. Follow established procedures to assemble components and conduct quality checks. Operate and adjust machines such as punch presses, stakers, and grinders. Use hoists and lifting equipment to safely assist with the movement and positioning of large chain assemblies.
Qualifications: 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Proficient in blueprint reading and the use of measuring tools.
Education and Experience: Required High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Ability to read, write, and speak effectively for general understanding of required documentation, instructions, and procedures. Preferred Certifications from College or Technical School Hourly compensation for this role is $17.00+ per hour. This full-time position is eligible for a paid time off plan that includes 10 additional company paid holidays, 401(k) and/or Roth 401(k) with company match after one (1) month of employment plus quarterly Core Defined Contributions, and comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision.
