About the role

Senior Test Engineer | Orange County, CA Strativ Group is supporting an aerospace company in the search for an experienced Senior Test Engineer. This is a hands-on role focused on physical testing of complex electrical, mechanical and integrated aerospace systems.
Key responsibilities: Develop and execute test plans and procedures Own the full test lifecycle from setup and instrumentation through to analysis and reporting Support functional, environmental, structural, vibration, thermal and qualification testing Troubleshoot hardware issues, failure modes and performance gaps Analyse test data and provide technical recommendations Support test readiness, safety reviews and formal verification activities Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality and programme teams Improve test processes, coverage and engineering quality standards
What we're looking for: Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, Systems Engineering or a related discipline Experience in test engineering, hardware validation, systems test or engineering verification Hands-on experience testing complex physical systems or integrated hardware Strong understanding of test planning, instrumentation, data capture and reporting Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills Experience working across multidisciplinary engineering teams Strong technical documentation and communication skillsA disciplined approach to quality, reliability and safety Desirable: Aerospace, defence, robotics, automotive, energy or other mission-critical hardware experience Experience with environmental, vibration, thermal, structural or endurance testing Familiarity with DAQ systems, sensors and test equipment Experience with qualification, acceptance or requirements-based testing Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW or similar data analysis experience
