About the role
I am currently looking for a CRO Business Development Director or Senior BD Director for a small global full service clinical Contract Research organization with a fantastic culture and an excellent track record across APAC .They are building a whole commercial team in the US and are looking for both Directors and Senior Directors for both west coast and east coast focused positions. This CRO are privately owned, with a highly respected leadership team who have a great reputation within both the biotech and CRO community. This is a really exciting time to join the organisation as they have a huge push into the US and invest heavily and build a whole US commercial function. There will be lots of visibility and exposure to leadership and with some really impressive medical, scientific/regulatory and operational expertise to support you on bid -defences. The role wil focus on working with biotechs across a range of therapeutic areas with initially more of a focus on phase I and II studies. There are multiple positions, so the roles can range from Associate Director through to Senior BD Director level. This is a remote, working from home position with a focus on either the east or west coast selling full service CRO solutions. This role comes with a very lucrative sales plan/commission structure, as well as opportunity for quick career progression.
Your role will include:
Achieving agreed upon sales and business development targets Creating and implementing appropriate business development strategies for identified target markets Prospecting with the goal of establishing a pipeline of sales opportunities and RFP’s from potential clients; suitably qualified for competitive advantage, timing, budget, decision maker Utilizing Salesforce to keep track of client activities including meetings and entering opportunities and updates as required to inform Management of current status Leading and managing the sales process for leads generated and leads received from internal and external sources. Leading the proposals development process for all opportunities and the assigned team to ensure that the strategy, budget and proposal language and timelines matches the expectations of the client as identified through extensive interactions with these clients. Continually redefining appropriate and profitable market niches for business opportunities, based on evidence. Providing input to the Marketing team so that they can create and implement appropriate marketing strategies that support the business development process and team Providing input to business development leadership based on territory and industry knowledge to develop sales targets, sales strategies and sales plans Working with the team to define and implement strategies to support the sales process, including securing resources to perform pre-sales activities Engaging with agents and consultants in other geographic locations to support business development activities in those markets Engaging with internal research staff to maximise selling opportunities associated with existing travel schedules of those staff Identifying and attending appropriate conferences and trade shows to create business opportunities To apply for this role, please send an up to date cv to jesse.mallett@rbwconsulting.com
