About the role

A financial services organization is seeking an experienced securities operations professional to manage complex, time-sensitive transactions across equities, fixed income, mutual funds, structured products, options, and Treasuries. This position offers broad product exposure and responsibility for investigating discrepancies and coordinating with counterparties and clearing partners to ensure accurate, timely settlement.
Responsibilities: Validate and process securities transactions through internal and external settlement platforms. Monitor trades through settlement and resolve unmatched, failed, or delayed transactions. Coordinate with counterparties, custodians, clearing firms, and internal departments to address settlement discrepancies. Process trade corrections, account allocations, internal security movements, and free transfers. Support settlements involving equities, fixed income, mutual funds, structured products, options, and Treasury securities. Monitor margin-related activity and escalate outstanding notifications for review and resolution. Process corporate actions, option assignments, coupon claims, dividend payments, and security-related account updates. Investigate rejected transactions, pricing discrepancies, and other settlement exceptions. Review accounts for unresolved positions and complete required end-of-day follow-up. Process data feeds, journal requests, and related securities operations activity. Prepare and distribute settlement-related reports to internal teams. Maintain accurate records and follow established operational controls and procedures.
Qualifications: FINRA Series 99 required. At least five years of experience in securities settlements, trade operations, brokerage operations, or a closely related area. Demonstrated knowledge of the securities settlement lifecycle. Experience resolving unmatched trades, failed settlements, transaction discrepancies, and corporate-action issues. Experience working with a major clearing, custody, or securities-processing platform preferred. Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive transactions and priorities. Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a deadline-driven environment. Spanish language skills are a plus but not required.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
