Cytotechnologist Typically Monday to Friday, 07:30 AM - 04:00 PM; no weekends, no call, and no holidays. Assignment Details No specific contract length or guaranteed hours mentioned.
Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Cytotechnology, chemical, biological, or clinical laboratory science AND Certification as a Cytotechnologist (ASCP), scat (ASCP), or CT (CMIAC).OR a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical, biological or clinical laboratory science AND graduation from a CAHEA approved school of Cytotechnology. Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital setting. High volume lab experience required. Hologic/Thin Prep certification required; must be Hologic Imager trained with proof of training. Familiarity with EPIC EMR system.
Responsibilities: Microscopically examine a wide variety of cellular body specimens to identify abnormal cellular changes indicative of inflammatory, premalignant, malignant, or other conditions. Ensure accuracy, precision, and timeliness in assessments based on knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and pathology. Utilize specialized training acquired through undergraduate and postgraduate education. Maintain thorough documentation and perform analysis within established protocols.
