Beauty Shop Stylist The Beauty Shop Stylist is responsible for providing a variety of hair and beauty services to residents while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming salon environment. The ideal candidate enjoys working with older adults and understands the importance of providing services with patience, dignity, and respect.
Responsibilities include: Providing professional hair and beauty services to residents, including haircuts and trims, shampooing and styling, sets and blow-drying, perms, and other approved salon services. Scheduling and maintaining resident appointments. Providing services in a friendly, respectful, and professional manner. Maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary beauty shop. Following all applicable infection-control, sanitation, and safety requirements. Properly cleaning and sanitizing equipment and work surfaces between residents. Communicating respectfully with residents, families, and facility staff. Demonstrating patience and compassion when working with residents who may have mobility, cognitive, or other limitations. Maintaining appropriate documentation and following facility procedures. Helping create a positive salon experience that promotes resident dignity, confidence, and quality of life.
Qualifications include: Current Indiana Cosmetology License or other applicable state-required credential. Previous experience as a hairstylist/cosmetologist preferred. Experience working with older adults is a plus. Strong customer service and communication skills. Dependable, professional, and organized. Ability to work independently while collaborating with facility staff. Compassionate and comfortable working with residents in a long-term care setting. Why Join Heritage Pointe of Warren?
