About the role
- Repair and build motor and pump shafts from bar stock, including turning journals, cutting keyways, and threading
- Machine bearing fits to tight tolerances (tenths, not thousandths)
- Sleeve and re-bore bearing housings and end bells
- Make one-off replacement parts from worn samples, sketches, or prints
- Work with our winders, mechanics, and field techs to get customer equipment back in service fast
- Maintain your machines and follow all shop safety procedures
- 2+ years of manual lathe and mill experience. You can set up and run a job without a program.
- Comfortable holding tight tolerances with mics, bore gauges, and indicators
- Repair or maintenance machining background is a big plus (motor shop, mine shop, rebuild shop)
- $25 to $40 per hour, depending on experience
- Day shift
