Growing together.**The **Patient Support Center Representative** is responsible for the completion of set processes and protocols. Works cooperatively with all members of the care team to support the vision and mission of the organization, deliver excellent customer service, and adhere to Lean processes. Supports the teams in meeting financial, clinical, and service goals.This position is full time, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 11:30 am - 8:00 pm PST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime or weekends.We offer 4 weeks of paid training. The hours during training will be 8:00 am - 5:00 pm PST, Monday - Friday. **Training will be conducted virtually from your home.**_Watch this_ video (https://uhg.video.uhc.com/media/t/1\_tq68lgsj) _to understand the expectations of being a remote worker with UnitedHealthcare._**Primary Responsibilities:**First point of contact for our patients; Sets the tone for a positive experienceExhibits empathy, courtesy, competence, efficiency, and careSchedules appointments and procedures, following standard guidelinesUses Multiple computer and phone systems to fulfill patient needs over phoneVerifies patient information, while documenting in their Electronic Health Record (EPIC)Advises patients of their responsibilities regarding insurance and referral informationYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.**Required Qualifications:**High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent years of experienceMust be 18 years of age OR older1+ years of customer service experience1+ years of Microsoft Office experienceAbility to work any of our full tome, 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 11:30 am - 8:00 pm PST from Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday, including the flexibility to work weekends given the business need**Preferred Qualifications:**1+ years of experience in a health care settingEMR experienceKnowledge / Understanding of CPT / ICD - 10 codingCommunication skills and phone etiquetteExperience with providing customer serviceAccess to independent means of transportation during work hours for job related tasks**Telecommuting Requirements:**Reside within the Eastern, Central, OR Mountain Time ZonesAbility to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacyMust live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service (UHG requires a wired internet connection: cable, DSL or fiber internet service with Minimum speed standard of 25 Mb download/10-15 Mb upload.
