Medical Records Scan Tech - EveningsHIM Scan Technician Farmington, CT | J. Morrissey 6-Month Contract | 2nd Shift Available Starting Pay: Approximately $20/hourJ. Morrissey is seeking a HIM Scan Technician to support a healthcare organization in Farmington, CT. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, comfortable working with electronic medical records, and able to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment. Schedule 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM6-month contract Starting pay around $20/hour
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patient charts and medical records for scanning
  • Scan and digitize medical records into electronic systems
  • Index documents accurately within the electronic medical record
  • Perform quality control checks to ensure records are complete and legible
  • Maintain and organize medical records
  • Ensure documents are properly assigned and stored
  • Follow established HIM and document-management procedures
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GEDBasic computer knowledge
  • Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and manage repetitive tasks
  • Healthcare or medical records experience is a plus
