Job Description The Electrician Journeyman plays a crucial role in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Working within a small team of 1-3 members and reporting to a Master Electrician, this position demands adherence to safety standards and electrical codes, ensuring reliable and code-compliant electrical work. Occasional regional travel is required to support various job sites.
Responsibilities:
- Install wiring and electrical equipment according to project specifications
- Maintain and repair electrical systems to ensure proper functioning
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and resolve system malfunctions
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory codes
- Conduct testing and inspections of electrical installations
- Perform conduit bending and other preparation tasks
Required Qualifications: Valid Journeyman Electrician License
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in electrical work
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency in electrical wiring and blueprint reading
- Strong knowledge of safety compliance and electrical codes
- Effective troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Manual dexterity and ability to perform conduit bending
- Good communication skills
