About the role
- Project planning and scope management
- Define project charters and detailed scope for IAM initiatives
- Break down complex IAM implementations into manageable workstreams and phases
- Develop schedules, resource plans, and cost estimates in partnership with technical leads
- Establish success criteria and KPIs aligned with business objectives
- Stakeholder coordination and communication
- Lead project governance boards and steering committee reviews
- Communicate status, risks, and decisions to technical and business audiences
- Coordinate between infrastructure, security, applications, and business teams
- Manage dependencies, escalations, and stakeholder concerns proactively
- Technical delivery oversight
- Provide technical project leadership on platform implementations (Okta, CyberArk, Saviynt, etc.)Track and manage technical workstreams including design, build, testing, and deployment
- Collaborate with architects and engineers to ensure solutions meet requirements and standards
- Manage quality assurance, security testing, and compliance validation
- Risk and change management
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks
- Develop and execute change management plans for organizational transitions
- Plan and manage cutover activities, rollbacks, and contingencies
- Support post-implementation review and lessons learned capture
- Operations enablement and training
- Coordinate training and documentation for operations and support teams
- Develop operational runbooks and procedures for new capabilities
- Support knowledge transfer and team readiness
- Metrics and continuous improvement
- Track and report project metrics: schedule variance, budget variance, scope adherence
- Monitor value realization against post-implementation targets
- Identify and implement process improvements in IAM delivery
- Strong working knowledge of IAM platforms and architectures (Okta, Active Directory, PAM, IGA)
- Deep understanding of identity governance, lifecycle management, and compliance controls
- Proven experience managing enterprise security or infrastructure projects
- Advanced project management skills: planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management
- Excellent stakeholder communication and cross-functional leadership ability
- Ability to translate technical architecture into business and operational context
- Experience with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies 10+ years in project management, program management, or technical delivery roles 5+ years managing IAM, security, or enterprise IT projects 3+ years hands-on experience with enterprise IAM platforms (Okta, Saviynt, or equivalent)
- Demonstrated success leading complex, multi-team enterprise initiatives through delivery
- Experience managing platform migrations, implementations, or significant configuration changes
- Bachelor degree in computer science, information systems, business, or related field
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certificationAWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platform experience
- Experience with agile ceremony facilitation and SAFe frameworks
- Knowledge of IAM governance standards (NIST, CIS, SOC 2)
- Experience with zero-trust architecture or modern identity frameworks
- Track record working with security and compliance stakeholders
