About the role
Sr. AP Support SpecialistApogee Services Inc. is seeking a Sr. AP Support Specialist to provide centralized AP Support Help Desk inquiry resolution in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). This position supports cross functional departments and business segments, and is critical to Apogee's Requisition to Pay process with month end reporting and analysis responsibilities. A background in finance or accounting, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills are critical to the success of this position.Responsibilities include:Supporting multiple segments and brands.Providing accurate, timely, and professional service to all internal and external customers.Building strong relationships with internal and external business partners and suppliers.Reviewing supplier statements and account reconciliations.Processing supplier invoices.Managing month end activities including accruals and AP Open Aging review.Reviewing and resolving GRNI (Goods Received Not Invoiced) monthly.Monitoring outstanding checks and assisting with escheatment process.Gathering data for AP metrics reporting.Supporting and assisting with audit requests.Leading small efficiency projects with AP Shared Services Team.Identifying and implementing process improvements.Coordinating with stakeholders to improve efficiencies.Developing skills, building payables knowledge, and business acumen.Providing mentoring, coaching, and support to less experienced team members.Escalating issues requiring 2nd level support.Participating in department projects and company initiatives.Performing other duties as assigned.Education and experience required:Bachelor's degree in business or accounting with 5 plus years of related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experiences.Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.Ability to perform in a dynamic environment.Strong attention to detail and ability to work well within a deadline driven environment.Positive, professional attitude and strong customer service skills with an ability to deal with conflict / sensitive topics.Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.Preferred:Microsoft Excel experience, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.Previous Customer Support / Customer Service experience.Salary Range: $24.00-$30.00/hourWork Environment:This position can be located at our Bloomington, MN (Corporate Office) or Viracon office in Owatonna, MN. Work is "hybrid" and defined by the Sr AP Shared Services Manager with an expectation of working in office a minimum of 3 days.
