About the role
In this role, you own the mechanical design of spacecraft electronics assemblies. You'll take the design through from CAD model, through analysis, drawings, and qualification testing to ensure it's ready to go to space. The work here is incredibly varied. You'll work closely with the electrical and systems teams to integrate the subsystems, so you will need a willingness to solve problems across disciplines. You won't be given a narrow slice of work - they have a high level of trust in their staff to use their own engineering judgement. This is a senior role, and has a real importance in the team. As well as the design, you'll help manage the project, review other team members work, and mentor junior engineers. The role is carried out on a hybrid basis, and the office is in Herndon, Virginia. The base salary in the region of $150k - $175k, plus bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package.
