Role Description:
This is a full-time on-site / off-site outreach role for a Social Media & Community Outreach Coordinator located in Queens County, NY. The role involves managing social media platforms, creating engaging content, and developing strategies to increase online presence and community engagement. Responsibilities include building and maintaining relationships with local organizations and community members, organizing outreach events, recruiting and coordinating volunteers, and fostering partnerships to enhance the organization's visibility and impact in the community.
Qualifications:
Strong Interpersonal Skills and Communication abilities to engage with diverse communities effectively Proven abilities in Cooperation and Volunteer Management to foster teamwork and coordinate volunteer activities Experience in Community Outreach to establish meaningful connections and partnerships Proficiency in creating and managing social media content preferred Organizational and event planning skills Proactive and resourceful mindset with the ability to work independently Familiarity with community dynamics in Queens County, NY is a plus Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field is preferred
