DEPARTMENT: 770 – Shipping/Receiving POSITION ACCOUNTABLE TO: Customer Support Supervisor POSITION TYPE: Full-time, hourly (Non-exempt) JOB SUMMARY: This entry-level position will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, and verifying all incoming customer parts and materials. This position ensures that all received items are properly identified, documented, and staged for production in accordance with customer requirements and internal quality standards. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:oReceive and inspect incoming customer parts, materials, and purchase orders.oGreet customers at the service counter and handle incoming deliveries from carriers (UPS, Fed Ex, etc.)oVerify incoming shipments for accuracy, including part numbers, quantities, and documentation.oPerform visual inspection of received parts for damage, prior processing, or nonconformities.oStage parts on designated receiving shelves and maintain accurate identification and traceability.oComplete and file all receiving documentation in accordance with company procedures.oCommunicate with customer service and production teams regarding received jobs and scheduling priorities.oMaintain the cleanliness, organization, and efficiency of the receiving area.oSupport process improvements and maintain compliance with company quality standards.oFollow all safety protocols and company procedures.oWork overtime or weekends as needed to support customer demands.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
oAbility to read and write in Englisho Legible handwritingo Ability to prioritize and work on multiple tasks simultaneouslyo Basic sketch and blueprint reading skillso Use inspection equipment (calipers, micrometer, mechanical gages, x-ray, and thickness gages)oDetail-orientedo Basic computer skillso Basic mathematics skillso Positive, can-do attitude with excellent attendance and punctualityo Must be able to work independently with little supervision after completion of the training period PREFERRED SKILLS:oAbility to speak Spanish is a pluso Experience with Fed Ex and UPS is a plus PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:oAbility to stand and/or walk on your feet for extended periods of timeo Must pass a drug test and criminal background checko Ability to lift and move 50 pounds without mechanical assistance EDUCATION / WORK EXPERIENCE:oHigh school diploma or equivalent (preferred)Previous experience in shipping, warehouse, or production\nCompany
