About the role
Material Handler Join Amrize as a Material Handler and help construct what's next. The Material Handler supports efficient production by operating packaging equipment, supplying materials to the production line, and providing forklift support to dry end operations. This role is responsible for maintaining product flow, monitoring equipment performance, managing work-in-progress inventory, and ensuring the packaging area remains clean, organized, and safe throughout the shift. Night Shift: 2:00pm-10:30pm Monday-FridayStart up and shut down dry end packaging equipment. Inputs production run data into the computers controlling the various pieces of equipment according to the production schedule. Keeps the machines running correctly and with the correct product information. Maintains an uninterrupted supply of bags, labels and other consumables to the equipment in area. Cuts slats. Dumps hoppers. Monitoring and reporting in-process quality observations to other production team-mates. Manage work in progress. Maintain the 5 S posture of the assigned area. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Education:
High School Diploma Forklift certified Safety conscious mindset Basic maintenance skills Basic computer skills
Additional Requirements:
The working conditions include an indoor dusty non-air-conditioned industrial manufacturing and warehouse environment. Subject to temperatures that range from 65 to 90 degrees in the general working environment and hotter in certain areas of the plant. Occasional outdoor activities in hot or adverse weather. Twenty-four hour working environment with multiple shifts and varying schedules. This position requires standing for the majority of the shift. Bending, reaching, twisting It also requires occasional operation of a forklift. Must be able to lift up 50 pounds.
