Production Operator Production Operator – 1st Shift Location: Wichita, KS Pay Rate: $20.00/hour Shift: Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM–4:30 PM (10-hour shift with 30-minute lunch) Potential: Strong performers may be considered for contract extension or full-time employment. Required PPE: Steel-Toe Boots or Safety-Toe Shoes Position Summary We are seeking dependable and safety-focused Production Operators to support daily manufacturing operations in a fast-paced feed production environment. This role involves operating equipment, handling materials, maintaining production standards, and performing general housekeeping duties while adhering to all safety and quality requirements. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, excellent attendance, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a physically demanding manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities: Operate production equipment and perform repetitive manufacturing processes according to established procedures. Manually lift, move, stack, and handle product bags weighing up to 50 lbs. Operate pallet jacks, hand carts, and other material-handling equipment. Monitor production processes and make basic machine or process adjustments as directed. Accurately record and report production information when required. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements. Support production goals while maintaining quality and efficiency standards.
Qualifications: Required Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment that may be hot, cold, noisy, and dusty. Strong attendance and punctuality, including reporting on time for a 6:00 AM start. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety. Basic math and computer skills. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Flexible and willing to perform a variety of production-related tasks. Preferred High School Diploma or GED. Previous manufacturing, production, warehouse, agriculture, or feed mill experience.
Work Environment: Fast-paced manufacturing facility. Exposure to varying temperatures, dust, and production noise. Hearing protection may be required in designated areas. Frequent standing, walking, lifting, bending, and material handling throughout the shift.
