We are working with a well established commercial specialty contractor in the greater Chicago market with decades of experience delivering high quality interior construction across Illinois. They self-perform metal stud framing, drywall, acoustical ceilings, and interior specialty work across healthcare, retail, hospitality, and commercial markets. The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Estimator/Project Manager to join their team. This is a hybrid role where you will be responsible for estimating projects from bid through award as well as managing those projects through to successful completion. You will work directly with clients, general contractors, and field teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
What You Will Do:
- Perform quantity take-offs and develop detailed estimates for commercial drywall and framing projects
- Manage projects from pre-bid through closeout including budgets, schedules, and subcontractor coordination
- Build and maintain relationships with general contractors and clients in the Chicago market
- Review and approve contracts, change orders, and cost related documents
- Coordinate with field teams to ensure projects are executed to scope and quality standards
What We Are Looking For:
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of estimating and project management experience in commercial drywall and framing on the subcontractor side
- Strong knowledge of metal stud framing, drywall, and acoustical ceiling scopes
- Experience working with general contractors in the Chicago market
- Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft OfficeStrong communication and organizational skills
