About the role

Hospital is recruiting for a full-time clinical faculty position in Allergy/Immunology. The candidate must hold an MD/DO degree or equivalent, be board certified in Pediatrics or Internal Medicine, and BC/BE in Allergy and Immunology. Clinical responsibilities will include outpatient clinics and inpatient consultation. Teaching responsibilities include medical students, residents, and A/I fellows in ambulatory, inpatient, and didactic settings. The Division of Allergy/Immunology & Rheumatology provides care for a diverse patient population with asthma, atopic diseases and primary immune deficiencies. We are a New York State referral center for SCID newborn screening. Our division collaborates closely with the allergy physicians in the Department of Medicine, to train our fellows in our ACGME-accredited, combined Pediatric-Medicine Allergy/Immunology Fellowship Program. Preferred qualification: Evidence of clinical activity and teaching responsibilities with medical students, residents and A/I fellows in ambulatory, inpatient and didactic settings. The successful candidate will have a university faculty appointment. 12-floor 200-bed modern facility. Hospital is the regional center for comprehensive and state-of-the-art pediatric trauma, surgical and medical care, including neonatal, perinatal and obstetrical services. As one of only 43 freestanding childrens hospitals in the nation, the entire facility was built with children and families in mind. The School of Medicine is a brand new downtown medical school with a multidisciplinary clinical environment that will provide better access to higher-quality care, including innovations in preventative medicine, and will support critical research programs.
