Global Key Account Manager – Metals & Minerals Trade Territory: North & Central America

Approximately 30–40%, including international travel We are recruiting a Global Key Account Manager on behalf of a client providing services to the metals and minerals industry. This is a commercially focused role with direct responsibility for growing revenue, winning new business, and expanding strategic accounts across North and Central America. You will develop relationships with senior decision-makers, identify opportunities across client sites and markets, and negotiate regional and global agreements. Candidates should bring strong metals and minerals industry knowledge and a demonstrated ability to turn relationships and market insights into measurable sales results. Experience within precious metals, particularly mining, refining, and recycling, is especially relevant.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute account strategies to meet revenue, margin, and sales targets. Prospect for new business while expanding relationships and service offerings within existing accounts. Identify and close opportunities across new sites, operations, and geographies. Build relationships with senior stakeholders and negotiate commercial contracts and long-term framework agreements. Coordinate with regional sales and operations teams to align proposals, pricing, service delivery, and customer expectations. Monitor commodity markets, global trade flows, and industry developments to identify growth opportunities. Maintain an active sales pipeline, accurate forecasts, and opportunity records in Salesforce or a comparable CRM.Prepare quarterly account plans and monthly performance reports. Represent the business at industry conferences, exhibitions, and client meetings.
Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum 5–7 years of experience in metals and minerals trade, ideally involving execution or trading in an international environment. Proven success in B2B sales, business development, and managing large regional or global accounts. Business development experience in precious metals mining, refining, or recycling is preferred. Understanding of testing, inspection, and certification services; direct industry experience is an asset. Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Business, Metallurgy, Commercial Management, or a related field, and/or at least five years of relevant sales and business development experience. Strong industry network and knowledge of commodity markets and international trade flows. Strong negotiation, account planning, and contract management skills. Ability to influence and coordinate teams across regions without direct reporting authority. A proactive, independent approach with strong follow-through and accountability for results. Fluency in English; additional languages are an asset. Ability to travel internationally approximately 30–40% of the time.
