About the role
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology, or related field 8+ years of environmental consulting experience
- Strong background in contamination assessment, remediation, and environmental due diligence
- Extensive experience with Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs)
- Experience designing and implementing soil and groundwater remediation systems
- Knowledge of environmental regulations including CERCLA, RCRA, and state cleanup programs
- Project management experience including budgeting, scheduling, and client management
- Experience managing drilling subcontractors, laboratory coordination, and field investigations
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Current 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification with 8-hour refresher
- Ability to perform field visits and oversee remediation activities
- Lead and review Phase I and Phase II ESAsDevelop site characterization programs for soil, groundwater, vapor, and indoor air investigations
- Build and refine Conceptual Site Models (CSMs)
- Design and optimize remediation systems including SVE, air sparging, dual-phase extraction, in-situ bioremediation, and excavation projects
- Oversee remedial construction, system startup, and commissioning activities
- Manage operation, maintenance, and monitoring (OM&M) programs
- Track project scope, schedules, budgets, and invoicing
- Serve as primary client and regulatory agency contact
- Mentor junior engineers, geologists, and environmental scientists
- Prepare, review, and approve technical reports, work plans, RAPs, and closure documentation
- Conduct field audits, quality assurance reviews, and client meetings
