About the role

About Nippies & Nips by Nippies Nippies is the category-defining brand behind the modern nipple cover and bra-alternative space. We operate as an omni-channel business, with a premium line (Nippies, shopnippies.com) and a mass-market line (Nips by Nippies) sold at Target and Walmart, alongside a significant Amazon business and long-standing wholesale and retail relationships. We're growing fast across every channel, and we're building out a broader assortment of bra-alternative solutions for women who want comfort, support, and coverage without a traditional bra. This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone who wants to shape the next generation of that assortment.
The Role: We're looking for a Senior Designer to lead the creative development of new bra-alternative solutions across both the Nippies and Nips by Nippies lines. You'll drive concept from trend and consumer insight through to a finished, market-ready product, working closely with our technical and production teams to bring your ideas to life. We're especially interested in designers with a point of view shaped by adjacent categories like intimates, sleep, and swim, where comfort, fit, and body-conscious design all matter as much as aesthetics.
What You'll Do: • Lead design and concept development for new bra-alternative products across both Nippies and Nips by Nippies, from initial sketch through final approval• Research trend, whitespace, and consumer need across intimates, sleep, swim, and activewear, and translate what you find into original product concepts• Build mood boards, sketches, and design presentations that bring new silhouettes and product ideas to life for leadership and buyers• Partner closely with technical design and production to ensure your concepts translate into buildable, comfortable, well-fitting products• Select and recommend fabrics, adhesives, trims, and colors that support both the aesthetic and comfort goals of each style• Attend and help lead fittings, offering a design perspective on fit, silhouette, and overall look and feel• Stay closely tuned to what's happening across the bra-alternative, next-gen bra, and comfort-intimates space, and use that to inform where we differentiate• Help build seasonal design calendars and manage multiple concepts and product lines at once• Collaborate cross-functionally with merchandising, marketing, and leadership to make sure new products align with brand vision and channel needs• Mentor and provide creative direction to junior designers or outside contractors as the team grows What We're Looking For• 7+ years of design experience, ideally with a background spanning intimates, sleep, swim, or other body-conscious apparel categories• A strong point of view on fit, comfort, and silhouette, with an eye for where fashion and function meet• Proven experience taking concepts from sketch through to a finished, market-ready product• Comfortable partnering with technical design and factories to translate creative vision into buildable specs, without needing to own the tech pack yourself• Proficiency with Illustrator and other standard design tools; Photoshop and presentation-deck skills a plus• A genuine curiosity about innovation in the bra-alternative space, and comfort experimenting with new materials and constructions• Strong communicator who can present ideas clearly to both creative and business audiences• Comfortable operating in a small, fast-moving team where you'll wear more than one hat Why This Role You'd be joining at a pivotal moment, helping define what bra-alternative products look and feel like for two of the fastest-growing brands in the category, with real retail scale behind you and room to shape the creative direction of new product lines from the ground

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
