About the role
- Minimum 1 year of Sleep Lab experience requiredBLS certification (AHA or ARC) requiredRPSGT certification via BRPT required
- Certificate of completion from an accredited School of Clinical Polysomnography required
- New Mexico CPSGT/RPSGT/RRT-SDS/CRT-SDS/Trainee license required to be in hand at time of consideration
- License required if applicableRRT/CRT preferred but not required
- Basic computer skills required
- First-time travelers will be considered
- Monitor and perform sleep studies on patients as prescribed under physician direction
- Record and measure electrical potentials and other physiologic events
- Maintain recording devices and analyze/prepare study reports
- Recognize and appropriately respond to critical events during studies
- Oversee patient setup for sleep evaluations, including home sleep setup
- Home sleep setups begin at 5pm on Tuesdays and Fridays
- Max 3 days of RTO permitted during the assignment
- Cancellation policy allows for 2 shifts per 13-week assignment
- Orientation consists of up to 2 weeks, 3 nights per week
- Facility-required training modules must be completed prior to working the floor, with up to 6 hours billable
- Monthly Inter-scorer Reliability (ISR) required for quality measurement, to be set up at time of hire
- Scrub color is royal blue, or royal blue scrub top with black pants
- No medical assistants or CNAs used in this unit
