Retail Paint Store Experience Required
Duties:
Assist customers in selecting the right paints, finishes, and supplies based on their project needs and preferences Utilize POS (Point of Sale) systems for cash handling, order processing, and inventory management Upsell complementary products such as brushes, rollers, and related accessories to maximize sales opportunities Manage inventory levels by stocking shelves, merchandising displays, and ensuring product availability for customers Create a visually appealing store through merchandising, organization and cleanliness. Support inside sales efforts through effective communication skills and account management with repeat clients Building long term relationships with our diverse client base. Make local deliveries to our customers as needed using company vehicle. Skills Proven experience in retail paint sales environments with a focus on high-end or specialty products Ability to serve diverse customer bases effectively Hardware Skills a PLUS!!Ability to bend, lift and carry packages up to 75 pounds. Ability to move about our retail sales floor without assistance. Excellent organizational skills for merchandising, stock management, and maintaining a clean store environment Exceptional communication skills to educate customers about product benefits and project solutions Basic math skills for measurements, pricing calculations, and retail math tasks Maintaining a high level of technical knowledge in the paint industry Ability to drive a company van and maintain a clean driving record.
