About the role

Cvent Platform SpecialistOur client, one of the largest names in global alternative asset management, is seeking a Cvent Platform Specialist to join their Event Technology and Operations team. This role sits within Client Marketing & Events and focuses on the end-to-end execution of digital event experiences, primarily through Cvent — including registration builds, data management, and fully customized event websites. This is an associate-level support role backing two Cvent leads and their broader events team, which runs a mix of large in-house Apollo events, third-party events, and high-profile sports & entertainment activations. Important note: this is not an event planner role — the ideal candidate supports the events team through platform operations and execution, not event conceptualization or design. The role requires someone hyper-organized, detail-obsessed, and comfortable interfacing directly with senior stakeholders including executives, with the composure to handle fast-moving, last-minute changes without missing a beat.Day-to-Day Responsibilities:Lead the end-to-end build of event websites in Cvent, from initial design through go-liveManage complex registration flows, session paths, and conditional logic tailored to diverse audience segmentsOwn and maintain event data integrity across Cvent (and Airtable, if applicable), ensuring consistency and accurate reportingHandle real-time event detail changes (e.g., hotel changes, branding updates, welcome page edits, capacity adjustments) and roll them out accurately across the platformTranslate event goals into functional platform requirements, advising on best practices and creative solutionsEnsure technical execution aligns with brand and regulatory/compliance standardsTrack engagement data and post-event analyticsTake direction quickly from multiple stakeholders (Cvent leads, event planners, business/channel marketing teams) and manage competing priorities under tight deadlinesThink several steps ahead proactively, anticipating issues (e.g., registration capacity conflicts) before they become problemsContribute to documentation, process improvement, and platform innovation initiativesSupport occasional early morning or evening work to accommodate global audiencesMinimum Requirements:2-3 years of hands-on experience with Cvent, specifically building registration workflows and fully branded event websitesExperience owning the full process/lifecycle of an event from a platform/operations perspective (not event planning)High attention to detail with a strong track record of accuracy under pressureStrong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlinesExcellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable interfacing directly with senior executives and presentersHighly proactive and autonomous, with a strong sense of ownership and accountabilityProficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook)Live, in-person event experience (not purely virtual event background)Professional polish and composure, with the ability to represent the team well in front of senior leadershipPreferred Qualifications:Knowledge of AirtablePrior experience in financial services or a regulated corporate environmentExperience managing multiple simultaneous webinars or virtual sessions
